Recipes For Afternoon Tea: Tea Light Biscuits

Recipes For Afternoon Tea: Tea Light Biscuits

I found the recipe for these cookies definitely excellent tea, one of the recipes for the most original afternoon tea and for a sweet break but I like it ... not too caloric.

My tea biscuits are delicious to munch on it alone, but ideal if dunked in a cup of steaming tea for afternoon tea!

You'll be thrilled as I was I try these tea cookies because if you love tea, you can't not love the madness these cookies made with Earl Grey tea leaves ... really tasty indeed!

My tea cookies are fragrant and know your tea, but without being too pushy and just 51 calories per piece, I can say they are certainly tea biscuits light and perfect if you're on a diet, but you do not know renounce cookies!

What you need for tea biscuits around 40 ...
250 g wholemeal flour
1 tablespoon of tea leaves (Twinings Earl Grey)
1 teaspoon water
1 tablespoon finely grated orange peel
120 g of butter
1 pinch of salt
seeds from 1 vanilla bean
50 g icing sugar
40 g caster sugar

How to do ...
To prepare my tea biscuits, the first thing you have to work the butter and granulated sugar, then add the icing sugar. Once you've mixed all add the flour a little at a time mixing well, then salt and tea.

Now you have to add the vanilla and water and continue to mix everything up. Once a smooth dough ball, wrap once in plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.

Preheat the oven to 180° C and spent the half hour, stretch out a sheet for tea biscuits 1/height 2 cm, then with cookie cutters made many biscuits.

Transfer tea biscuits on a baking tray lined with baking paper and put them to cook in the oven for about 12 minutes, until edges are golden.
